Flamenco Festival USA 2025, the nation’s premier flamenco event, returns from March 5 to 15, showcasing a dazzling lineup of performances in New York, Miami, Chicago, and San Francisco. Honoring Granada’s rich cultural heritage and the timeless artistry of Federico García Lorca, this year’s festival unites over 70 acclaimed flamenco artists, promising electrifying evenings of passionate dance, powerful guitar, and soul-stirring vocals.

From classic traditions to innovative expressions, attendees will experience unforgettable performances from stars such as Manuel Liñán, Eva Yerbabuena, Alfonso Losa, Patricia Guerrero, Kiki Morente, Juan Habichuela Nieto, and more. New York: The Heartbeat of Flamenco Festival USA

The festival kicks off on March 5 at Elebash Recital Hall, CUNY Graduate Center, with «Lorquianos» an emotional tribute to Federico García Lorca performed by vocalist Kiki Morente and guitarist Carlos de Jacoba. These two captivating artists blend flamenco heritage with Lorca’s lyrical poetry. Before the evening concert with Kiki Morente and Carlos de Jacoba, join Sybil Cooksey, José Javier León, Noël Valis, and moderator K. Meira Goldberg for a free panel discussion about Lorca’s legacy, almost 90 years after his assassination during the Spanish Civil War. Followed by a Q&A.

«Alter Ego» by Alfonso Losa & Patricia Guerrero: An Unforgettable Flamenco Duo

On March 6 at New York City Center, dancers Alfonso Losa and Patricia Guerrero debut «Alter Ego», a bold exploration of personal identity and artistic connection. Their dynamic performance, enriched by vocalists Sandra Carrasco and Ismael “El Bola”, and guitarist José Manuel Martinez “El Peli”, breaks flamenco conventions and captivates through raw, visceral energy. In addition, as part of Flamenco Festival’s commitment to education, the festival will also present a special school performance of «Alter Ego» on March 5, giving 2,000 New York students the opportunity to experience flamenco through the NYPD Flamenco for Young Audiences Initiative, designed to introduce young audiences to the history and culture of flamenco.

«Muerta de Amor»: Manuel Liñán’s Passionate Flamenco Revolution

Celebrated flamenco innovator Manuel Liñán presents his provocative work «Muerta de Amor» at New York City Center on March 7, a work that was created during an In Progress artistic residency of Flamenco Festival in Torrox (Málaga, Spain). Combining traditional copla music with contemporary influences, this passionate performance explores the intricacies of love, intimacy, and personal freedom, showcasing Liñán’s explosive choreography alongside a powerful ensemble of artists.

«La Búsqueda del Duende»: El Turry’s Mystical Flamenco Debut in New York

Making his New York solo debut on March 7 at Roulette, Antonio «El Turry» Gómez delves into flamenco’s mystical essence in «La Búsqueda del Duende». Known for his powerful and emotive singing, El Turry is a flamenco vocalist from Granada who comes from a family of renowned musicians: he is the son of guitarist Ricardo de la Juana and dancer Rosa La Canastera and began performing with his family at the age of ten. El Turry has participated in major flamenco festivals, including the Seville Flamenco Biennial, and created two original shows, Flamenco por Naturaleza and Misa Flamenca. His powerful singing at Flamenco Festival New York will be accompanied by guitarist Paco Jarana, and together they will offer a profound journey through flamenco tradition.
